VERDICT

It’s shame that an excellent pair of headphones, such as this one, are plagued with cheap build quality that makes them more prone to break. Still, the rest of the package is excellent, and there’s no doubt that you get a lot of value for your money. And if something breaks, you can always rely on the provided lifetime warranty to sort out the issue.

The Phaiser BHS-530 are designed for all kinds of sports, but running is definitely the one they are the most suited for. That’s mostly because running requires a very specific set of features to achieve maximum performance. This review will tell you what exactly makes the BHS-530 so special and if they really are the best pair of Bluetooth earbuds for running that you can currently get.

Design and Build Quality

The Phaiser BHS-530 use a special wearing style to hold the buds in place during rigorous workouts. The flexible Memory-Wire adapts to the size of your head and helps to provide a perfect seal for a better listening experience. You can say goodbye to water damage, because the earbuds are protected by Liquipel Nano Coating to survive everything from sweaty workout to accidental dropping into water. What’s more, the manufacturer promises to replace the earbuds in case they ever get damaged by sweat.

A must-have feature for many users of Bluetooth earbuds – a built-in microphone – is also present in these. Apart from just accurately capturing your voice, it also reads out the caller’s number when a call comes in, and automatically mutes the audio you were listening to. When you hang up, the audio automatically starts back.

Unfortunately, the built quality falls short in many ways. The earbuds are extremely stiff and are annoying to put on, because they immediately curl up, so you can’t easily hang them around your neck and insert into your ears.

Sound Quality

With a pair of 10mm speaker combined with Bluetooth 4.1 to create an accurate HD sound, you can expect a powerful bass and great accuracy. The manufacturer wisely included Comply T-400 M memory foam tips to provide a total Isolation from external noise. The Comply tips also make the bass more prominent and they are just so nice to wear that we always recommend our readers to use them with any compatible pair of earbuds.

It probably won’t come as any surprise that such powerful bass takes away a bit out of the sound clarity. You will be able to notice it when you listen in a quiet environment, but we don’t believe that it will be a problem during your standard listening in your gym.

What’s in the Box?

The box hides a pair of Comply eartips, hard-shell case, and an original Phaiser PRO-K energy bracelet. This bracelet usually retails for around $15. It uses negatively charged ions to help you feel refreshed, relieve stress, and boost your daytime energy.
